My Day As Motherwell Mascot by Ross McAteer

My brother Arron and I were lucky to be mascots when Motherwell played Partick Thistle on Saturday 19th November 2016.

My uncle took us over to Fir Park at 2pm on Saturday and we were taken to meet the players. It was great to get to meet the players before the game, they are always very nice and friendly.  My brother had his Go Pro camera on, which he got for his birthday last week.  We then had a kick about with the other mascot called Aaron and Claret and Amber, that was a good laugh, but freezing.  We then went into the tunnel and waited on the players coming out.  Arron went out with Keith Lasley and I went out with Craig Samson.  It is great in the tunnel waiting to run out onto the pitch and hearing everyone cheering on Motherwell.  We even got to see my uncle’s tile which we got him for his 50th birthday.  Running out onto the pitch is amazing.

If you want to be a mascot you should join the Junior Steel, it’s great to be a member of Motherwell FC!
